Dear parents and carers,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new headteacher of Hafod Primary School. I would like to reassure you that I will work tirelessly to achieve the highest standards and providing the best education for all of the children in our care.
My vision and aims for the school are drawn from my personal beliefs and my teaching experiences. I believe that children, parents and staff must work in partnership to ensure that every child can be the best that they can be and reach their full potential. To achieve this, I am committed to ensuring that we are an inclusive school supporting all of our children and families. I am committed to learning from and about our diverse community and to providing an environment in which we are all treated fairly and equally.
My most pressing concern, in the midst of this pandemic, is to ensure that the school does everything in its power to support the health and well-being of the children, their families and our staff. Please let us know if you have any concerns about your children and we will do our upmost with the resources available to us or point you in the right direction if we are unable to help.
I believe that the inclusion of children’s views and opinions are key to ensuring the school provides engaging, inclusive and exciting learning experiences. I will be talking with the children to find out their views about the school and how we can make further improvements together. I will be championing the children’s involvement in the running of the school and the development of their learning experiences. By empowering and engaging children and equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need, we prepare them for their future as well rounded and interested members of our local community and society in general.
From experience, I know the importance of involving parents and carers to ensure that our school is a successful and happy one. I am proud of the open and honest relationships I have developed with parents and carers over the years, based on mutual trust and respect. I am keen to meet with you and have the opportunity for informal conversations to get to know you better and answer any questions that you might have. Please feel free to send me an email (DaddsT1@hwbcymru.net) or call the school office to arrange an appointment to see me in person if you feel this would be helpful.
I look forward to working with you to ensure that your child/children can be the best that they can be and reach their full potential. I hope that I can count on your support and understanding in the weeks, months and years ahead. I will keep you informed of any developments in the arrangements for how the school operates.
Kind regards/cofion cynnes
Mr Timm Dadds
