Hafod Rainbows is a multi-cultural flying start setting based at Hafod Primary school. Our registered provider is City and County of Swansea. The childcare setting is registered by Care Inspectorate Wales CIW. The last inspection of the setting was in December 2022. The Responsible Individual is Mr Timm Dadds who is also the headteacher of Hafod Primary School. Person in Charge of the setting is Miss Donna Collins who is the Flying Start Manager and Eva Zajicova is the Senior Childcare worker.

Hafod Rainbows provides sessional childcare for a maximum of 24 children between the ages of 2-3 within the Hafod Area and has now been rolled out to other areas in Swansea. Childcare is available 5 days a week, Monday to Friday for 40 weeks of the year. Our additional week is in the first week of the summer holidays. The Flying Start is funded by the Welsh Assembly so eligible children gain this service free.

We have two sessions -  morning (am) and afternoon (pm). Our am opening time is 9.00 and we close at 11.30, our pm session opens at 12.45 and closes at 3.15 giving the child/children 2 and half hours of quality childcare. There are many different home languages spoken in the setting with the wide variety of different cultures but the main language spoken in the setting is English.
