Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome/Croeso !

At Hafod Primary School, we are committed to providing a safe, happy and nurturing environment in which all of our children thrive. We engage them in a relevant and inclusive curriculum that stimulates their natural curiosity and is responsive to their individual needs. We work tirelessly to effectively facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills and understanding to empower our children to become successful learners throughout life.

At Hafod Primary School, we recognise that responding to a child’s mental health and emotional needs is key to improving their well-being and enabling them to learn. Together as a staff, we employ a range of supportive strategies to nurture a child's personal and social development as they become healthy and confident individuals.

At Hafod Primary School, we believe that the inclusion of our children’s views and opinions are key to ensuring the school provides engaging, inclusive and exciting learning experiences. We listen to them, find out their views about the school and consider how we can make improvements together. We champion the children’s involvement in the running of the school and the development of learning experiences. By empowering and engaging children, we equip them with the knowledge and skills they need and prepare them for their future as well rounded and interested members of our local community and society in general.

At Hafod Primary School, we work tirelessly to achieve the very highest standards and provide the best education for all of the children in our care. We are an inclusive school, supporting all of our children and families. We are committed to learning from and about our diverse community and providing an environment in which all are treated fairly and equally. By working together, we can ensure that every child can be the best that they can be and reach their full potential.

At Hafod Primary School, we consider open and honest home-school relationships as vital to ensure that our children are supported to reach their full potential. I am proud of the open and honest relationships I have developed with parents and carers over the years, based on mutual trust and respect. Please feel free to send me a Class Dojo message, an email (DaddsT1@hwbcymru.net) or call the school office to arrange an appointment to see me. We can all work together in the very best interests of your children.

I hope that you will share in our common purpose and commitment for all of our children. By working together, parents, carers, governors and staff can support each and every one of our children to be the very best that they can be and achieve their full potential.
